Extend the identity
across the show.
Starting with supplied NOW / CBS artwork, I carried its curves, blue-and-white palette and layered depth into show artwork, opening graphics and recurring elements.
The goal was a consistent visual language that could accommodate new stories and imagery.
Watch a complete cold open↗Make the content
replaceable.
I built reusable motion templates with editable titles and replaceable media. The cold-open sequence could change with the day’s stories while retaining its framing, rhythm and treatment.
Template controls covered segment text and imagery, a nine-image grid, and over-the-shoulder title and image treatments.
Show artwork, motion design and template development: Aaron Munoz. Starting identity supplied. Reporting and editorial content: CBS News team. The linked cold open is a separate viewing example from the dated stills shown here.
